Professional bio Eileen spent twenty years moving between Big Four rigor and startup speed. She started her career as an auditor at Ernst & Young, working across industries and learning how well-run organizations document and control their operations, and saw firsthand what happens when they don't. At Xero, she built, grew, and led the Partner Consultant team before moving into partnership sales, then went on to lead partnerships at other tech startups. That path put her on both sides of the revenue cycle: managing the financial operations behind the scenes and building the partnerships and sales relationships that drive growth. She's spent her career at the intersection of financial rigor, commercial instinct, and practical, tech-savvy execution, giving firms of any size the operational backbone usually reserved for much larger companies. Why Ellaphant Ellaphant Advisory is named for her niece, Ella, and built on a simple promise: an elephant never forgets, and neither should your business. The name carries a second meaning for Eileen. Her father was a retired colonel in the Philippine Army with a law degree, and when the family moved from the Philippines to Canada, he started over by building his own security guard business, one of the few paths open to him at the time. When Eileen graduated with her accounting degree, she tried to help him get the basics in place: reconciling his credit card statements, building out an employee handbook as the business grew. It was hard to get him to adopt any of it, and she often thought that with the right processes in place, his business could have grown further and given him more room to breathe. That's the gap Ellaphant exists to close. It's the same reward she felt helping accounting firms build the app stacks and workflows that helped their small business clients grow. She carries the same instinct into her work with NABA, a nonprofit supporting Black business leaders, current and future, whose motto is lifting as we climb.
